Heather Bates is the founder of Bates Wealth Strategies, where she partners with women navigating life’s most pivotal transitions—whether through divorce, widowhood, or business ownership—to help them regain clarity, confidence, and control over their financial futures.
With a warm, practical approach, Heather combines her expertise as a comprehensive financial planner to simplify complex financial decisions and design strategies aligned with her clients’ values and goals. Her mission is to ensure every woman she works with feels seen, supported, and empowered to move forward with purpose.
Heather graduated Magna Cum Laude from The University of Texas at Tyler, where she earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Business Administration. Heather and her family attend Rose Heights Church and hosts a Women's monthly Bible Study in Troup. She also serves on the Christus Trinity Mother Frances Women’s Board and Therapet Development Committee, reflecting her deep commitment to community and giving back.
She resides in Troup, Texas, with her husband, Trevor, their daughter, Charley Rei, and their son, Ford Elwood. Family is everything to Heather, and when she’s not guiding clients, you’ll likely find Heather cheering on her kids at the ballfields, traveling, or spending time with her loved ones and friends.
At her core, Heather believes financial planning isn’t just about numbers—it’s about creating peace of mind and building a life that reflects what matters most.
